Mr. PRIME MINISTER PLEASE SAVE THE ROTTEN FOODGRAINS BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE: AN OPEN LETTER TO THE PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA:

Respected Mr. Prime Minister,

58,000 crores / billions worth of food grains are allowed to rot in the open by the nation every single year under the corrupt governance of the Congress led UPA!

Sheer CALLOUSNESS or should one say the nation's INEFFICIENCY?

The farmers' community slog day and night in hot sun, high temperatures, heavy rains and chilly winters... and imagine how one must feel about the huge wastage of food grains when the nation has the highest hunger index, beating even the poor African nations...

I keep wondering all the time, how can the government turn a blind eye... but then it is a well-laid plan so that the kith and kins of corrupt politicians, who own liquor distilleries can buy these rotten food grains to turn them into high profit liquor to be served in the five stars @ Rs. 0.60 a Kg.

Wonder of wonders, what is the so-called highly educated planners of the nation in the Planning Commission are doing to prevent such a huge national wastage? NOTHING! Yes, NOTHING at all!

Mind you these figure of 58,000 crores / billions is the official acknowledgement by the nation's former Agriculture Minister... as we all know, the government always tend to lower the statistics in such cases... so the actual figure must be double or triple the stated figure!

During my travel visits to various states, everywhere I have witnessed that FCI have ample of spaces but not sufficient buildings and clean areas to store grains, while the food grains are stored out in the open at the mercy of nature & rodents... WHY? In the past 67 years, we, as the nation couldn't even build sufficient storage system to safeguard our food grains while millions of poor die of hunger. And our former Minister of External Affairs SM Krishna goes to Burma and donate them hi-tech Silos, while the nation is without any such modern system...

Unlike the callous nation, who plan flawlessly year-after-year to allow huge wastage of food grains (in every state) to rot, the tribal Korku of Melghat Region (Amravati district of Maharashtra) are very progressive in nature in spite of being very poor. They are so-so poor that, they cannot even have the luxury to waste even a morsel of food. They may be illiterate but are much-much more intelligent than all the so-called highly educated Planning Commission Officials. Their simple bare minimum huts / homes may not have any belongings or even a suitcase / trunk / cupboard but more than 90 % of them have two indigenously made Silos to safeguard their food grains, cultivated with blood and sweat. Each house / hut has two huge Silos to store their yearly production, so that the family is well-fed throughout the year and no rodents can feast on the food grains.

It is indeed an amazing feat that one will never get to read in any of the leading newspapers or see on news channels of the world such an effective storage system by illiterate poor tribal farmers. The conspicuous presence of Silos in each home / hut also proves tribal Korku's intelligent planning to safeguard their families from hunger and prevent the wild rodents to feast on their food grains. But obvious, there is no chance of any wastage, whatsoever! Each Silos are built with cement-mud combination and painted white to keep the food grains cool, with a heavy lid over the top. A small window hole at the bottom is made to take out the required grains as and when required while cooking. They also make use of Neem Leaves in the Silos.

The Food Corporation of India (FCI) should learn this simple technique to safeguard nation's food grains and prevent the huge loss year-after-year. The Korku tribe are very poor and marginal farmers and they still believe in and practice ancient traditional method of farming. That means, the Korku tribe grow pure Organic Food Grains in their fields. This also proves that they are eating much healthy food as compared to urban population. Most of the farmers own their own cattle, few goats, few hens, dogs... which are useful for multi-purpose.

I wish to SALUTE the farmers of KORKU tribe of Melghat Region in Maharashtra for showing the world how simple it is to use your BRAIN to safeguard the most essential item to live healthy... HATS OFF!!! I do wish under your able governance, you will send concerned officials to learn from the Korku tribe at the earliest to safeguard National Wastage!!!

My point Mr. Prime Minister is, if the Nation can make use of this ancient traditional technique by making use of able Korku Tribal Farmers to build HUGE Silos (with the help of Modern Technology & Assistance) in all the FCI Godowns’ Open Spaces, the nation will be able to safeguard all the food grains from allowing it to rot in the open. These Traditional Silos can be built at a faster pace and can be effective as they are ready and the investment too will be lesser as compared to modern storage godowns. The Korku farmers are very hard workers and by making use of their help and work force, they will also get proper employment to earn well to solve their and nation’s problem.

This is a very simple cost effective solution Mr. Prime Minister that, if implemented, will rewrite history of human civilizations and the nation will be grateful for your kind vision as the only Prime Minister of India to have taken the simple but bold step to safeguard all the wastage of the Nation worldwide. I have very-very high hopes because I know you are a visionary leader (Solar Panels over Irrigation Canals in Gujarat – simply brilliant!) and you care for the nation as much as I do.

I look forward for your kind action in this regard to become a successful example for all the countries of the world to emulate us – BHARAT and solve the 67 years old nation’s National Wastage for every poor to have enough to eat and sleep with thankfulness to you Mr. Prime Minister!

(P.S: There are many “Simple Solutions” I have provided in my blog for the country (countries) to benefit along with the Government, Corporate, Farmers’ Community and Citizen in totality.)

Yours truly,

The REAL ENVIRONMENTALISTS: MY TRIBUTE

Tribute to all "THE RAGPICKERS" of the WORLD on World Environment Day

We often look at them with disgust because of their dirty clothes and smell oozing bodies… however, if they were not part of the solar system, our world would have been under the heeps of waste plastic bottles and other unwanted things long time ago. On the World Environment Day, this post is my tribute to all the ragpickers, who selfishly clean all our unwanted wastes to earn a meagre sum of money after scavenging all day long in hot sun and rainy days in the dirtiest place of the earth to save the earth.

Have you ever thought how they have balanced the environment without really knowing how to pronounce the word or else know the meaning of the buzz word in the world scenario? It is the hunger in their stomach and their poor condition of living that has made them to selfishly (they do it to earn some money, so I termed them as selfish) clean all the garbage that we so-called educated throw without a single thought about spoiling the environment. Isn’t it strange that people who are educated, are actually endangering the environment by splurging on their comforts while uneducated poor people are the ones, who are protecting the environment while earning money out of the wastes?

There are global conventions where in billions of dollars are spent for the comfort of the official respresentatives from various countries, ironical though, we will never spent money on the real people who are cleansing all the wastes from the world, just because they are poor. The difference between them and us is simple… while we will talk big and do nothing, they say nothing but do everything. Action speaks louder than the words – this quote aptly describes the two sides of human’s callousness.

A mere 10 minutes power cut in metros makes everyone swear the government for the inefficiency, ironically, a 12 to 14 hours power cut in rural India is silently taken in stride with a smile to get accustomed in every day’s life. While the villages of India contribute the bigger chunk or percentage to save environment, sadly once again, they are never even mentioned anywhere for their efforts and contributions, while in cities, there will be Tom, Dick and Harry shouting aloud buying the media to say how they have saved the environment by bragging doing such and such thing or else switch off lights for one hour for just one day in 365 days and then they claim they have saved the world…

These ragpickers are not at all helped or supported by our government or environmental bodies. While their efforts, which has a such a big impact on environment, goes unnoticed by one and all, they are not even provided with protective gears to spend 8 to 10 hours in toxic wastelands. On top of all that, their service doesn’t even get any pay hike or else pension from the government. Instead we look at them with disgust, little forgetting that it is because of them we are enjoying a better environment. Hats off to all the ragpickers in the world, who are doing what we educated fellows can never even think of doing to save environment! It is truly a boon and a curse to be born poor but it is the poor who always plays an important part to make lives better for everyone!

Time we wake up from our sleep before it is too late!

GRATEFUL TO THE TEN BEAUTIFUL ANGELS OF THE FOURTH YEAR:

MAY 2013 to APRIL 2014

Angels are visibly invisible!

The first two years of the “Journey of Destiny” was challenging to unlearn the learning, doing extensive research on real grounds, interact with affected farmers’ families, provide simple solutions to solve the “Demonic Myths” that the System has created with the help of Media and other vested parties… Life on real grounds certainly teaches you a great deal of the real pulse of the so-called crisis.

TEN BEAUTIFUL ANGELS have been helping me year-after-year with financial support for me to keep continue my devoted efforts. I have been truly blessed to have friends and strangers and few new acquaintances (now great friends), who have come forward to help and encourage me ever since the “Journey of Destiny” commenced on the 12th of March 2010. In the first two years, I was very fortunate because the required TEN BEAUTIFUL ANGELS were sent to me by my Sai Baba. However, in the third year, situation was tested as a few of the TEN BEAUTIFUL ANGELS discontinued their kind support because of their own personal crisis. One of them committed and then kept silence in spite of repeated requests. It became mandatory for me to hunt for jobs once again. Having been away from the professional front since September 2008, it was certainly not an easy task to get a job. I persisted.

Finally, my joys knew no bounds as at the end of the third year, I got the job of an Editor of a soon-to-be-launched Architecture and Interiors magazine and I started 2013 optimistically. I was thankful to my Sai Baba for solving my crisis at hand. I could earn and raise my own funds to keep continuing my work. Unfortunately, my joys was short lived. I was not aware the Publisher EPC World, Belapur was a CON Publisher. Salary had to be asked after two months of work, expenses were not paid in time and I ended up in more debts and tension was building up. I worked for three months but was paid only for a month and since there was no sign of payments coming, I submitted my resignation. I was back in Wardha with mounting debts. I was fortunate and blessed to have just a few great friends, who lent me for my survival to sustain.

I had to find TEN BEAUTIFUL ANGELS once again for the fourth year (May 2013 to April 2014). Few of my best friends chipped in and somehow I managed to get SEVEN to help and support me. They all have been special in many aspects and the LINKS below are about them.

However, my Sai Baba has been my saviour ever since the “Journey of Destiny”. Three of my dear friends came forward to support me unconditionally. And they requested that they should not be written about because they lent me the required amount and said I could return them when I am able to. Such great friends are the biggest gift of life and the blessings from my Sai Baba. So I have survived the fourth year.

Through this post, I wish to thank the TEN BEAUTIFUL ANGELS from the bottom of my heart for all their priceless help and kind support. Sai Baba bless you all always and forever!

The fifth year (May 2014 to April 2015) has already commenced and few great friends are helping me to set up a small effort to raise funds and simultaneously by selling my Nature’s Framed Photographs to raise enough funds to support self.

The “Journey of Destiny” continues…

16 - 04 - 2010 to 16 - 04 - 2014 : FOUR YEARS IN WARDHA - PART FOUR

APRIL 2013 - MARCH 2014

Worries ! Worries ! Worries !

Third year saw debts rising because of not been able to get the TEN BEAUTIFUL ANGELS to support me and a few of them discontinued their help because of their own personal problems. Deep down I knew my Sai Baba will send me the much needed Angel (s) when the right time will come. 2013 was a very tense year of the "Journey of Destiny".

At the end of December 2012, I got the much-needed job as the Editor of a soon-to-be-launched magazine on Architecture & Interiors. 2013 seemed like a good beginning. I was mistaken as barely after three months, I realized I was duped by the CON Publisher EPC World, Belapur. The tension grew multifold as I was not being paid my salaries... I ended up borrowing money from good friends. I quit the job after three months to realize, I was destined to be in Wardha rather than in Bombay.

April, I was back in Wardha and approached angels in disguise to help and support me for a year. Few of my good friends assured once again to help me as one of the Ten Beautiful Angels and I managed to get 7 Beautiful Angels, which means I had to borrow more money to sustain self. Life was tough and the "Journey of Destiny" continued.

Vegetables' Prices escalated to the never before Rs. 100 /- a Kg... Onions (I am a person, who simply cannot live without Onions but from June to December, I could not afford them.) became priceless and with limited budget to manage my life, I struggled and couldn't buy vegetables for months. The Shortage of Onions nationwide was created by the politicians to loot the citizen to gather funds for the coming election, because the Corporate Companies stopped funding as they were not seeing any sign of support from the corrupt governance of the most corrupt Prime Minister India has ever had - Manmohan Singh.

The fact being that since 2010, India has been producing record breaking Agriculture Produce. While Indians were buying Onions in the country at Rs. 100 /- a Kg, the neighbouring Bangladesh was selling Indian Onions in their country at Rs. 40 /- a Kg. It says it all!

I even cut down on my food consumption, eating just one meal-a-day many days of the month, just to sustain. I felt helpless because I was not able to do more. The job hunting was on with no sign of any on the horizon.

The situation was a blessing in disguise. I requested my Landlord's son Praful if we can start growing vegetables on the terrace. When I got the 'YES', my joys knew no bounds. With Praful's help, I started growing vegetables as an experiment.

The success of growing your own Organic Vegetables is a sweet experience. I learned a great deal by growing multiple varieties of vegetables.

During one of my visits to Bombay, I interviewed a farmer from UP (Uttar Pradesh), who does farming on the adjacent land along the railway tracks. During our interaction he said,'It would be nice if the Nation at large could benefit from such venture.' I wrote an 'Open Letter' to the Railway Minister with a simple solution, how such a simple project can benefit the Railways, Landless Farmers and Citizen with bountiful Green Produce.

My Trust work took me to Hyderabad and I met a very senior Organic Farmers from Yapral - Mr Maru and his son Ajay, whom I had known from the last two decades when I used to sell vegetables in TARKARI (the first exclusive Vegetables' Super Shop!). I had lovely interaction with them and learned many things about Organic Farming.

Monsoon was very good in Vidarbha Region. 125 % yearly monsoon was a boon for the farmers and the region saw very few farmers succumbing to suicide.

For the first time in four years, I visited Durga Pandals in Wardha because deep down I was thankful to my Sai Baba for HIS blessings for the farmers' community.

I find solace from my depression and miseries by clicking Nature's pictures during Sunrise and Sunsets.

I realized that I can sell Nature's Photographs to raise funds and for self support from the fifth year. As it is I have run out of my contact base to get Ten Beautiful Angels for the fifth year. So I created a 'Page' in Facebook to brand my photography in December. With the blessings of my Sai Baba, I was very fortunate to get many International Fans and Followers of my work.

Meanwhile My Magical Terrace Organic Vegetables' Garden bloomed to provide healthy fresh vegetables and it became popular allover the world, through Facebook.

In Wardha, my Terrace Vegetables' Garden became popular after it was covered in a National Daily and I was known as the Terrace Vegetable Gardener.

The Good News soon followed with another one, when I read the Railway Minister has included my simple solution of creating Green Belt all along the Railway Tracks. Two Pilot Projects are starting from April 2014 as per the Budget declaration, one in Agra and another one in Jaipur.

While the Year started on a disappointment when I was conned, the ending was an icing on the cake with many more miles to walk ahead.

The "Journey of Destiny" enters the Fifth Year and continues... with more to do for the farmers' community.

I wish to thank each one of all those who have come forward to encourage, help and support my one-man-crusade since the last four years. And my gratitude to all the BEAUTIFUL ANGELS of all the Four Years is from the bottom of my heart... and the special mention of some of my greatest friends from all around the world, who have never asked me to quit, instead, they have been standing with solid strong backing whenever I am in crisis. SAI BABA I am truly grateful to you for everything!
