पाउस आला, पाउस आला...

(First Marathi poem, with whatever I knew...)
(Please Note: The English translation is given below, thank you)

Rain comes, rain comes
oh how wonderful it is....
Fragrance of mother earth is oh so wonderful

Rain comes, rain comes
oh how wonderful it is...
Everyone is dancing, here comes the festival of joy

Rain comes, rain comes
oh how wonderful it is...
Look at the children playing so joyful

Rain comes, rain comes
oh how wonderful it is...
Look at the trees swooning with joy

Rain comes, rain comes
oh how wonderful it is...
Festival of joy arrives for the farmers

Rain comes, rain comes
oh how wonderful it is...
Now sowing will begin with joy

Rain comes, rain comes
oh how wonderful it is...
Suicide of farmers will decrease in Vidarbha now

Rain comes, rain comes
oh how wonderful it is...
Everyone is dancing, here comes the festival of joy

  1. Johnny next time when you write something in Hindi or Marathi please try to give us the summary in English so that we know what you've written. I am sure whatever you write in Indian langguages is equally great! Thank you! God Bless You always!

  2. Grateful for your kind, encouraging & sweet words... the essence of translation from the original language (Hindi & Marathi) more often than not looses its impact... however, I shall try to provide you with English translation from this very poem... I am honoured to know that you are a keen follower of the blog... thank you, thank you so much! Sai Baba bless you always!

  3. Thank you so much Johnny for the translation! I asked you for a summary, you rather gave me the complete translation. It's indeed a very nice poem. I enjoyed reading it, I guess in the same way anyone who understands Hindi or Marathi would. Thanks! Once again I am really very proud of you! God bless you always!
